Times are getting harder. We are going through a global pandemic that doesn’t seem to be going away. Nothing is subsiding. Not with the original coronavirus, not with the Delta variant and it seems like the new Omicron variant isn’t going away too.
For us Singaporeans, we went from a two-month lockdown to a controlled number of pax in public. We went from two to five and finally to eight, just to be brought back down to two again before recently increasing the number to five once again. Times are getting harder and I say that because a lot of businesses are going busts. And it isn’t just regular retail businesses that I’m referring to. It’s the food and beverage businesses that are closing down.
As a result, getting my favourite meal or at least what used to be my favourite meal is now literally impossible. My family and I can still order food in from food delivery services such as GrabFood and Food Panda, and we can still fill our stomachs nicely without much fuss. But healthily? That I’m not too sure…
Then a friend of mine who was in the same shoes as I was – that’s to say tired of ordering the same food day in day out, and feeling like I’m just stuffing really unhealthy food into my body – introduced me to my very first halal tingkat Singapore.
It isn’t my cup of tea, to be honest. I mean, my wife and I find it utterly weird to have home cooked halal food delivered to us in a tingkat, especially when access to food in Singapore isn’t exactly very hard. But therein lies its charm
Having halal tingkat in Singapore makes things a hell lot easier for both my wife and I. Since the pandemic started, both of us have been working from home and we can hardly find any time to get food. We’re in the banking industry and we work with very tight deadlines over very long hours.
Hence, when it’s time to get lunch and/or dinner, we’re constantly faced with a huge problem of not knowing what to eat or where to get what we want to eat. Thankfully, after a mutual friend of ours introduced us to Bayfront Catering Services, we decided to order halal tingkat Singapore, which changed our daily lives immensely. Things are easier, needless to say, and we do not have to constantly think about what we need to eat.
As I age, I get more particular with the food that goes into my body. After all, we become what we put into our bodies, no? With so much processed and fried food being consumed, I’m getting concerned that my health will be affected. But with halal tingkat Singapore, it’s literally home cooked halal food – the sort that your mum used to cook for the whole family in the past.
It really brings back memories, I must say. I do know of several catering companies who delivers the food in a tingkat, but there are others – due to Covid – who have decided to deliver the food in microwaveable boxes instead. My wife and I have no complains about that, since the changes are all done for the sake of health safety.
It’s been almost a month already since we subscribed to halal tingkat Singapore and it certainly exceeded our expectations. It’s nice, tasty, there’s always a variety of food that won’t bore you out and it’s healthy. Oh, and it’s convenient, to say the least. That’s the most important part of it all, methinks.
Now, my wife and I are sharing this lovely experience of ours to all of our friends and relatives, so that they can enjoy their halal tingkat Singapore as much as how we have enjoyed ours. Yes, times are getting harder, but with such convenient services like halal tingkats readily available, the hard times seem a little more palatable.
